Student Dress Code
The purpose of Neabsco Elementary’s Dress Code is to support the Prince William County Code of Behavior and enhance an environment conducive to learning. The School Board requires that students dress to meet general standards of health, cleanliness, neatness, decency and safety.
Working together home and school can ensure Neabsco Elementary is a place where teachers can teach and children can learn.
Basic Guidelines:
• Hats, scarves, visors or sunglasses may not be worn by students in the building. Head coverings based on religious belief are allowed. Bandanas, sweat bands (head and wrist) and rubber bands (arms and legs) may not be worn at any time.
• Sneakers are the ideal footwear for school; flip-flops, open-toed shoes or shoes with no back are too dangerous for school and may not be worn. Neither cleats nor sneakers with roller skates may be worn. Shoes must be tied at all times.
• Shorts, skorts and skirts may be worn and must reach mid-thigh.
• Garments which are “see-through”, have low-cut necklines, expose the midriff or reveal undergarments may not be worn. This includes tube tops, tops with spaghetti straps and tank tops with less than 2 inches of fabric on the shoulder. Garments with over-sized armholes (muscle shirts) or oversized shirts which fall below fingertip length may not be worn unless over another shirt.
• Pants with the waistband below the waist area may not be worn. Pants may not extend below the shoe and drag the ground.
• Clothing with inappropriate language or pictures shall not be worn. Alcohol, drugs, tobacco products or references to any gang membership may not appear on clothes worn to school.
• Students may not wear long trench coats or bulky, oversized coats within the building. These coats must remain in the classroom upon entering the building.
Violations may result in students being required to remove the offensive item; change into something appropriate or the Principal may send the student home to change into clothing that meets the guidelines of the dress code.
CODIGO DE VESTUARIO PARA LOST ESTUDIANTES
El propásito del código o bien las reglas de vestir en la Neabsco es respalder el cádigo de conducta del Condada de Prince William y aumentar el mejoramiento del media ambiente par medio del aprendizeje. La Admiriistración Escolar requiere que el vestuaria de los estudientes alcance los principios generates de salud, limpieza, apariencie, decencia y seguridad.
Trabajando juntos hogar y escuela podemos esegurar que la Neabsco es un luger donde los profesores pueden ense y los ninos aprender.
REGLAS BASICAS:
• Sombreros, bufandas a pa viseras a anteojos para el sol no pueden ser usados par los estudientes en el edificio. Covertores pare la cabeza basados en creencias religiosas son permitidos. Las Baridanas no son permitidas en ningum momento.
• Los Tennis son los zapatos ideales para la escuela, sandalias, zapatos abiertos de la punta o zapatos sincenta por detra son muy peligrosos para la escuela y no deben ser usados, tampoco zapotos de soccer a tennis con patines de ruedas no deben ser usados. Los zapatos deben ester amarrados todo el tiempo.
• Pueden vestir pantaloncitos cortos, (shorts) pero deben ester hasta medio muslo.
• Prendas de vestir transparentes no deben ser usadas en las escuela, blusas de tuba, bluses con tirantes y camisetas con menos de 2 pulgadas de tela sabre los hombres no sort permitides. Prendas de vestir can las manges de los brazos mu abiertes como por ejemplo cemisas pare ensenar los musculos no son permitidas en la escuela.
• Pantalones con la cintura baja o sea debejo del area de la cintura no deben ser vestidos en Ia escuela.
• Rope can lenguoje o fotos inapropriadas no deben ser vestidos en las escuela. Alcohol, drogas, tabaco a referencias de cualquier miembro de pandilla que aperezcan en rope no deben ser vestides en la escuela.
Los estudiantes no deben user abrigos muy largos, voluminosos o de tulle muy grande mientras están en el edificio de la escuela. Todos las abrigos deben permanecer en la clase en horas de escuela.
